The Venture General Manager is responsible for providing domain specialization and strategic vision to identify, develop and commercialize PwCs Enterprise SaaS product called Boarding Pass launched in 2019 within PwC New Ventures. The Venture GM will manage all aspects of this venture within PwC, including the build out of a high-performing team, developing the Go to Market strategy and delivering revenue and customers per the business plan.

Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Constructing an overall business strategy, including identifying business priorities and associated technical and business challenges;
  • Driving the business plan to prototype and go-to-market;
  • Overseeing team build out and resource allocation as well as early customer identification and engagement; determining how to sell, service and support the new product; and,
  • Managing the venture P&L.

Demonstrates thought leader level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in developing a comprehensive and aligned strategic business plan that supports venture objectives, emphasizing the following areas:

  • Displaying talent management or employee experience software specialization and passion around this area;
  • Developing deep relationships in the enterprise software space and ability to continue to be seen as a thought leader in the industry;
  • Guiding sales & marketing strategies, using software industry knowledge,to maximize revenue potential;
  • Building plans to deliver against the sales & marketing strategies to predictably meet and exceed targets;
  • Communicating brand positioning and thought leadership to build awareness with customers, industry participants and influencers;
  • Driving the business forward even in periods of limited resourcing and funding;
  • Collaborating with many internal organizations to achieve common goals;
  • Managing multiple complex projects;
  • Acting as the primary external spokesperson for Boarding Pass in the market;
  • Demonstrating a strategic mindset able to identify use cases and market segments that could unlock additional opportunity;
  • Negotiating agreements to obtain access to variable cost development and infrastructure resources to support the team's product development;
  • Managing and overseeing all the team's development activities, including coordination of internal and external development resources and schedules;
  • Engineering, business, operational and management skills; previous start-up experience, including raising capital; and,
  • Analyzing rigour in decision making process and ability to simplify analytics into key insights and prioritized actions.
