Primarily Day Shift Monday through Friday (40hrs/wk), salaried position, may require occasional work on weekend with hours adjusted through week.

Job Summary

The Trauma Education Coordinator will be responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of professional education offered through the Trauma Program Office as required by the American College of Surgeons on Trauma and as needed regionally and statewide. This position will coordinate all ATLS, ATOM, RTTDC courses and other courses as deemed necessary and are coordinated through the Trauma Program Office. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and participating in annual planning of statewide Trauma Symposium. Will collaborate with the Adult and Pediatric Programs Coordinators to assure necessary education and or education through performance improvement is being met internally/externally Will demonstrate professional education practice through facility needs as well as at a state, regional, and national level per requirements as a Level I Trauma Center.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Computer skills essential, knowledge of trauma systems, public speaking, self directed, communication skills both written and verbally, excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated teaching skills

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelors Degree, three years relevant trauma/critical experience/knowledge.
