Position Responsibilities:<\/strong>Trainer Supports are an integral part of the Training Department and are required to perform at the highest level of professionalism. Additionally, the position assists, coaches, mentors individuals with all training and administrative items.<\/p>

  • Provide support to trainees and trainers via phone, email and in-person where available.<\/li>
  • Act as a liaison for new drivers, connecting them with management, support departments, and outside resources such as hotels, transportation, state agencies, etc.<\/li>
  • Receive and resolve complaints from trainees and trainers which may include change in assigned trainers, fleet or removal from truck. Includes assisting in mediating conflict resolution.<\/li>
  • Coach trainees on adjusting to OTR trucking environment and company practices.<\/li>
  • Monitor inactivity of trainees, reaching out consistently to keep trainees engaged.<\/li>
  • Process, monitor and review pay for trainees and trainer bonuses.<\/li>
  • Multi-task with assigned drivers needs.<\/li>
  • Work with trainees to ensure professionalism, on-time delivery for customers, and appropriate workplace behavior. This can include disciplinary action up to and including termination.<\/li><\/ul>

    Essential job requirements may include, but not limited to:<\/p>

    • Monitor Training App completion.<\/li>
    • Apprentice/Instructor Supervision.<\/li>
    • Communicate safety risks and operational requirements.<\/li>
    • Interface with operations support.<\/li>
    • Must be precise, accurate and timely in communications and documentation.<\/li>
    • Must manage time effectively with minimum supervision, working in an efficient manner while performing tasks with varying time requirements.<\/li>
    • Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so at all times.<\/li>
    • Always conduct yourself in a manner that reflects a positive, professional image. Must maintain a professional appearance in accordance with dress code policies.<\/li>
    • Treat each individual with care, dignity, fairness, respect and recognition.<\/li>
    • Work productively and collaboratively with direct supervisor and peers.<\/li>
    • Display and encourage teamwork and willingness to be a problem solver. Provide excellent customer service.<\/li>
    • Adhere to all policies and procedures as set forth by the company and ensure that all employees are knowledgeable of and adhere to all standards set forth by the company.<\/li>
    • Must be able to work with office equipment, utilizing computers for majority of tasks.<\/li><\/ul>


      Job qualifications may include, but not be limited to:<\/strong><\/p>

      • 4 year degree preferred or business-related field and commensurate work-related experience.<\/li>
      • Experience in Training and the Transportation industry strongly preferred.<\/li>
      • Broad understanding transportation processes and standards.<\/li>
      • Current CDL is a plus, but if candidates do not possess a current CDL, they may be asked to attend a C.R. England School to acquire a CDL. This may include time away from home for an initial limited time.<\/li>
      • Must have the ability to maintain professional communication while dealing with employees, who may be frustrated and having performance or behavior concerns.<\/li>
      • Must have the ability to have performance and/or behavior discussions with trainers and trainees.<\/li>
      • Ability to work with office equipment, utilizing computers for majority of tasks and must be technically proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based platforms.<\/li>
      • Ability to handle high-volume phone calls.<\/li>
      • Excellent organizational skills required.<\/li>
      • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.<\/li><\/ul>
