The Training Manager, IT Solutions is an integral member of the Reliance Technology Solutions (RTS) and manages day-to-day activities of the training staff responsible for the design, development and delivery of training for high complexity technology-based solutions including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Business Intelligence (BI), and Enterprise Content Management (ECM). 
Oversees and provides guidance on training delivery strategies that consider desired outcomes, student learning needs and optimal delivery mechanisms.  Will establish course objectives, develop training materials (user guides, exercises, training videos), coordinate training logistics and deliver training through a variety of methods that may include classroom, WebEx and e-learning mediums. 
Oversees training staff, and works with other department leaders to ensure training objectives are met and students are adequately prepared to utilize the solution in their day-to-day roles. 


  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of IT Training professionals engaged in the design and delivery of instructor-led and eLearning training programs
  • Stay current with adult learning technologies and approaches; apply knowledge to continually improve and evolve training design and delivery solutions.
  • Design and expand training and development programs based on the needs of the organization and individual learners
  • Create an optimal approach to educate adult learners with varying degrees of technology proficiency
  • Coach the team to create, design and develop effective and efficient training programs that enhance the possibility of learning
  • Deliver learning solutions in a manner that is both engaging and effective
  • Evaluate training and development programs
  • Develop opportunities for cross-team effectiveness and remove organizational barriers for strong teamwork, collaboration and excellent service delivery.
  • Ability to take complex technical concepts and communicate them to different levels/roles across the organization
  • Build and maintain strong and strategic partnerships within RTS and across the Reliance Family of Companies

  • Translate business needs into Architecture requirements using domain expertise and broader knowledge of other domains for medium to high complexity projects                                                                                          
  • Participate and provides leadership within domain expertise and broader knowledge of other domains for medium to high complexity projects in implementing systems and ensuring design is consistent and well integrated with existing conceptual, logical and physical architectures


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Instructional Design, Education, or equivalent work experience in a related field required
  • 10+ years’ experience successfully designing, developing and delivering enterprise-level training curriculum in a software environment required
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team dedicated to delivering training for IT solutions
  • 5+ years of experience with the design, development and delivery of eLearning courses
  • Knowledge and experience using LMS systems preferred (Litmos experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies including but not limited to: ADDIE model, e-learning blueprint, design thinking, and interactive learning experiences
  • Solid understanding and/or experience using authoring tools such as Camtasia, Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Rise or similar instructional technologies required
  • Knowledge of eLearning standards such as SCORM and xAPI
  • Experience applying the principles of Change Management as part of an overall training strategy
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, at all levels including customers, vendors, peers, business stakeholders and management required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required
  • Expert-level knowledge in the principles, concepts and methods to deliver training for IT solutions.
  • Ability to lead and influence a diverse team operating in a matrix environment
