**PositionSummary:**

























The
Account Executive Technology (AE-Technology) is responsible for developing
new relationships and penetrating existing Technology category sales in
Strategic, Large and Mid-Market accounts within a geographic territory. The
AE-Technology collaborates with Staples Strategic Account Managers to achieve margin and revenue goals and builds
selling relationships with clients that profitably grow Staples Technology
category sales. The AE-Technology is the key point of contact and
responsible to provide ongoing long term sales support processes for the
technology category in their geographic market.

























**PrimaryResponsibilities:**















+ Responsible for identifying and closing technologyopportunities within the Staples Enterprise Account Base within anassigned region

+ Works with Staples Enterprise and Staples TechnologySolutions Sales Management teams to develop go to market strategies fortechnology hardware and services

+ Proactively Identifies sales opportunities within existingaccounts, and work with Staples Enterprise field Sales Force to provideongoing hardware purchasing programs developed to meet specific customerneeds

+ Identifies, through extensive product knowledge,opportunities to increase gross margin through additional technologyoffering and market trends

+ Maintains contact at the customer's senior managementlevel. Provides consultative information to Staples EnterpriseCustomers, Prospects, as well as, Staples Enterprise sales force inproduct pricing and selection

+ Sells value and innovative solutions beyond the coreproducts to meet customers' unique buying needs and requirements

+ Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with all keytechnology suppliers

+ Works with key technology suppliers to attain the bestcosts available for Technology opportunities

+ Provides on-going training support to the entireStaples Enterprise sales team on technology hardware products and servicesas required by management














**Qualifications**




**Basic:**









+ High School Degree or GED

+ Computing technology salesexperience

+ 4 plus years in outside salesof Technology Hardware and Services to SMB/Mid-market clients

+ High understanding of Businessto Business selling and Customer Processes for acquisition of products andservices

+ Strong Leadership skills

+ Ability to articulate theStaples Technology value proposition

+ Excellent presentation skills

+ Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills

+ Ability to influence at highestlevels

+ Expert knowledge of industrytrends, competition, customer buying patterns and marketing techniques

+ Demonstrated ability to buildstrategic partnerships across organizations

+ Exceptional time management,prioritization and organizational skills

+ Attention to detail, analyticaland problem-solving skills

+ Computer literate (Proficientwith MS Office suite)













**Preferred:**















+ Bachelor's Degree

+ Demonstrated sales plan success and quota achievement

+ Extensive knowledge of Business Technology Hardware andPeripherals

+ Technical expertise in both voice and data hardware andservices

+ Proven ability to sell in a multiple line sellingorganization
