Job Summary

Seeking a creative, hard-working, and motivated teacher or tutor with experience teaching elementary-aged students for a federally funded U. S. Department of Education grant. Temporary part-time position (10-15 hrs/week) for August 2019 through December of 2019, with the opportunity to continue in the Spring of 2020. Responsibilities include: teaching comprehension lessons to small groups of children, maintaining a behavior management program during lessons, and participating in set-up and breakdown of materials for lessons. Experience with teaching children is required. Candidates must be available at least three afternoons per week. Preference will be given to candidates who are certified to teach elementary school. Masters degree in Education or a related field is a plus, although we will also consider applications for those seeking a Masters degree.

Ability to teach children comprehension skills and maintain behavior management program.
