Responsibilities

As a Manager, youll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and teams technical acumen
  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
  • Train, coach, and supervise staff
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success with serving in a role within a professional services firm as a primary liaison to engagement teams, developing relationships and appropriately influencing as needed, which includes the following:

  • Leading scheduling discussions to assign work to process specialists, supervisors and managers based on capacity and capabilities;
  • Evaluating forecasts against capacity to support scheduling and work load balance efforts;
  • Providing coaching and guidance to the supervisors and managers, including conducting quality reviews; and,
  • Establishing appropriate training is available, providing support around identifying and scheduling training for teams.

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of successin tax technical knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • Completing and reviewing the following IRS tax forms: 1042, 1042-S,1099 & W-2, 5498, 8922, 941, 941-X, and 945;
  • Reviewing amended state tax filings;
  • Reviewing annual state filings;
  • Correspondence with State & Federal Agencies;
  • Reviewing daily federal & state withholding tax deposits;
  • Reviewing federal extension filings;
  • Responding to IRS 972-CG Notices; and,
  • Responding to IRS CP2100A Notices.

Demonstrates a proven extensive ability to develop strategy, as well as write, communicate, facilitate, and present cogently, to and/or for all levels of industry audiences, clients and internal staff and management, including inspection and quality review results, presentations and reports needed byleadership, and/or other standard business communications.

Demonstrates an extensive ability and/or a proven record of success with identifying and addressing client needs:

  • Building solid relationships with clients;
  • Developing an awareness of Firm services;
  • Approaching client in an organized and knowledgeable manner; and,
  • Delivering clear requests for information; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.

Demonstrates an extensive ability and/or a proven record of success as a team leader:

  • Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation;
  • Participating in various staff recruitment and retention activities; and,
  • Coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of successas tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new services and doing so with a "One Firm" service mindset. Preferred familiarity with a CRM system.

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in automation & digitization in a professional services environment including but not limited to:

  • Innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions;
  • Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to clients; and,
  • Utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements.

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of successin alternative fee arrangements, including the use of pricing tools, to provide a point of view on pricing strategies.
