Job Description

The Tax Analyst I will be responsible for supporting the daily functions of the tax department including preparing US income tax filings, accounting for income taxes, and supporting federal and state audits. This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Tax and is based in Parsippany, NJ.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of U.S. federal and state tax returns and supporting workpapers
• Assist in the preparation of the computation of the US quarterly tax provision in accordance with ASC-740
• Prepare income tax accounting journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with the timely preparation, filing and payments of income and franchise tax obligations, including extensions and estimated payments
• Support federal and state audits, as necessary
• Obtain general knowledge of and understand primary Teva tax accounting methodologies
• Interface with various levels within the tax, accounting, and finance department and external advisors

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required. Masters in Tax or Accounting and/or CPA a plus. 

• Minimum 1 year of tax compliance and/or accounting experience in a large, multi-national company or accounting firm environment preferred.
