Physical Requirements

This position requires regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; and performing tasks with repetitive motions. Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, cuts/punctures, and combative/violent people.

Shift

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m.

Job Summary

The University of Kentucky HealthCare Enterprise (UKHC) is seeking a Staff Support Associate I to work the Information Desks. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: greeting and providing information to patients, guests, faculty, and staff; acting as a liaison among departments, facilities, and staff to address patient and guest needs; and effectively problem-solving for patients and guests.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Excellent communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; the ability to work in fast-paced, high stress, team-centered environment, and an understanding of healthcare information systems.

Preferred Education/Experience

Customer service or healthcare support services experience preferred.
