Staples Order Lifecycle Systems team enables scalable, efficient, and intelligent order and delivery solutions, and exceptional customer experience through our expertise in business domains and technologies. We are currently taking a platform re-engineering approach to consolidate, modernize, and simplify legacy applications by standardizing interfaces, building micro-services, and/or integrating with 3rd party software thatll effectively reduce tech debt and vendor footprint, and improve time to market and service levels.

We are seeking a Technical Architect to manage the Supply Chain Technology domain, including Order Fulfilment, Inventory Management, and Transportation platforms for Staples eCommerce business. This leader will partner with business, product, and engineering teams to support business priorities and drive technology transformation.

The lead is responsible for influencing large number of partners and stakeholders at all levels to articulate the technology vision, architecture strategy, and capability roadmap for supporting business growth, driving customer experience, and enabling Supply Chain technology modernization. She/He will align novel concepts with business outcomes and tirelessly champion investment in the development of robust future-proof solutions.

**What Youll Do:**

+ Represent engineering function with the technology, product, and business partners

+ Steer business requirements by anticipating needs and accordingly influencing partners

+ Build consensus and evangelize the technology vision in partnership with stakeholders

+ Participate in design discussions, provide substantiative/actionable feedback, articulate risks, and help make trade-offs

+ Propose, design, and drive experiments, and deliver proof-of-value

+ Research, pilot, and drive creation of product requirements flexible to future unknowns

+ Help hire exceptional technical and product talent

**What you bring to the table:**

The ideal candidate is a hands-on self-starter and original thinker who can rapidly prototype and ideate independently, rationalize business outcomes and align them with technology vision to create a robust product roadmap in consensus from participating stakeholders. He/She is an innovative and curious forward thinker, who is current on technology landscape as well as emerging solutions. The candidate is a data-driven detail-oriented problem-solver with exceptional presentation skills. This person is adept at extracting data, synthesizing information, and using it to help drive product decision making. The successful candidate will think big, comfortably manage ambiguity, credibly hold on their own, and prevent short sighted designs.

**Qualifications :**

**Whats needed- Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline. MBA, MS, or PhD from a top-tier institution preferred.

+ 8+ years of technical leadership experience at large e-Commerce or Hi-Tech companies, Java, Microservices environments. Additionally, Technology, Management, or Operational consulting experience at an eminent organization and/or consulting firm preferred.

+ Exceptional skills working with business teams to decipher business process, quantify business outcomes, create robust product requirements, and drive adoption of new functionality within business teams

+ Fluent with wireframing to tease out business controls and functional experience.

+ Exceptional querying, scripting, hypothesis forming, experimenting, and inferencing skills

+ Solid at independently drilling into architecture choices, design decisions, code repository, identifying dependencies, and identifying any blockers.

+ Strong technical ability to dive deep into product and reach features and API contracts.

+ Working knowledge in the application of Data Sciences, Machine Learning, and Combinatorial Optimization

+ Proficient knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g.: Supply Chain, ERP, etc.), and their business implications.
