Job Description

 

Experienced scientist representing Drug Metabolism/Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) on multi-disciplinary project teams, providing DMPK input to projects in preclinical and clinical development; Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and collaborates closely with nonclinical safety, clinical pharmacology, pharmacometricians etc. to integrate pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and safety properties of drug candidates to optimize development.   Responsible for timely preparation of DMPK sections required for regulatory filings   (eg, INDs, INDARs, NDAs, etc.). Serves as Principal Investigator providing pharmacokinetic (PK)/toxicokinetic (TK) support on GLP studies and monitors PK studies at CROs; Performs PK and PK/PD data analysis, modelling and simulation (PBPK) and prepares reports; Has a broad and deep level of technical knowledge in the area of drug development, particularly as related to biologics. Experienced to work in regulated (GLP) environment adhering to established procedures.
 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in scientific field of study such as Pharmacokinetics
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics in research and development in the pharmaceutical industry
  • 3+ years of experience in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics/pharmakinetics data analysis in a regulated environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to write clear and concise documents, protocols and study reports
  • Experience preparing regulatory documents
  • Experience with use of pharmacokinetic tools like: WinNonlin, Gastroplus, PKSim, MOBI or R
