Job Description
The Sr OPEX Lean Expert is responsible for driving change by implementation of Teva Production System standards and coaching local management and team members to achieve a step change in the performance of the site in terms of quality, service and cost competitiveness while engaging and empowering the site employees. The OPEX Leader will lead and support site OPEX Initiatives including data collection and analysis, prioritizing projects and creating the implementation plans.
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. This position will interact with employees at every level of the plant and will be part of the global OPEX community. Essential Duties / Functions
Lead OpEx Initiatives and build capabilities at the Florida sites
Manage team members that will help lead the change at the site
Coach, train and facilitate line management and change agents
Improve key site processes including operations, quality, planning and other support functions to enable end to end flow
Ensuring local project follow up, regular report outs to management team, escalating roadblocks and proposing recovery actions
Implementing the Production System, KPIs and reporting the progress of the site implementation
Facilitating Problem Solving Sessions
Lead and or contribute to other prioritized OpEx work as required
Apply change management methods to ensure effective execution of OpEx and to promote a culture and mindset of operational excellence and continuous improvement across operations with increasing external focus and embedding it into our daily work
Qualifications
Education Required:
Bachelor of Science Degree preferred in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology or Engineering. Advance Degree preferred.
Experience Required:
Minimum five (5) year experience in process improvement tools (lean, six sigma) and as team leader in a Lean environment, preferably in the Pharmaceutical Industry
Experience in one of several operational functions (e.g. Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Supply Chain is an advantage)
Strong OPEX expertise ; Black Belt preferred
Strong analytical skills and financial insight
Project management experience and excellent time management skills
Excellent knowledge in MS Office
