Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE

The Sr. Manager, Succession and Performance Management leads the design and development of performance management, competency modeling, career pathing and career development tools and processes. Through partnership with the Talent Management and Development team and Human Resources groups at large, this leader functions as a strategic expert to the enterprise. This leader will interface with senior-level executives of the organization.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • 15% Provide leadership for the company’s performance management processes, including strategy development, process and tool design, and communication
  • 15% Lead the execution of the Performance Management process company-wide and provide consultative support to HR partners to ensure flawless execution of performance management
  • 15% Architect career pathing tools and processes
  • 15% Lead competency modeling and success profiling strategy and implementation
  • 15% Ensure the design and implementation of career development tools and processes for various levels across the organization
  • 25% Provide project management support to identified Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness projects
NATURE AND SCOPE
  • Position reports to Senior Director - Organizational Effectiveness
  • Number of Direct Reports - 2
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 6 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters in HR, I/O Psychology, OD or other related field
  • Proven experience in Talent Management, Performance Management, Competency Modeling and Career Development
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to conceive new approaches and streamline processes.
  • Strong customer service orientation; proven ability to build relationships and create positive customer interactions.
  • Strong project management skills. Must have ability to initiate project plans and balance multiple changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Flexibility in a changing, fast-paced environment with multiple work demands.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
