Under direction of the Sr. HR Business Center Manager, the Sr. HR Systems Analyst supports field users on Ceridian Dayforce inclusive of shared services department personnel. This role’s primary focus is on supporting aspects of managing configuration and maintenance to the Ceridian Dayforce HCM system in addition to the end-to-end issues management process with Ceridian Support related to Dayforce as needed. At times, this role will be required to participate in special projects and testing of the Ceridian Dayforce HCM system.

The Sr. HR Systems Analyst provides training at times and acts as project lead while reviewing requirements and scoping documents, identifying risks, and ensuring adherence to project schedules. Assists various departments and special projects to ensure optimized and efficient use of Ceridian Dayforce HCM application; develops user procedures, guidelines, and related documentation. This role collaborates with other internal functional teams (Shared Services, Finance/Accounting, etc.) to identify, plan, and execute business requirements, reporting, and process improvement opportunities across these teams. This role will support the daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting function in Ceridian Dayforce HCM in addition to and completing required yearly processes.

Systems Operation and Maintenance

  • Provide thorough and practical solutions to a wide-range of HRIS related problems/issues, while executing at high level of customer service
  • Analyze and assist with GL Changes and accrual updates
  • Analyze and provide recommendations to resolve reporting issues, including interfaces
  • Reconciles Ceridian Dayforce invoices and billing
  • Develop/Maintain/Execute reporting processes of various frequencies (daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually, etc.) for subsidiaries and Corporate
  • Creates and maintains custom reports for internal requests; assists in the development of complex reports
  • Completes setup and tests new Roles in Ceridian Dayforce
  • Works with Corporate IT and local IT as a Liaison for Single-Sign-on (Reporting requirement, user access, etc.)
  • Manages and Maintains Ceridian Dayforce System Calendar Maintenance (Holiday, Payroll Calendar, GL Accrual Percentages).
  • Defines, designs, implements, tests and approves new, or changes to existing Interfaces
  • Maintains and Develops workflows as needed or requested in the Ceridian Dayforce application
  • Provides Manual Check reconciliation reports from Ceridian Dayforce HCM to Corporate Finance Team
  • Responsible for all necessary documentation aligned to work function and duties

Project Initiatives

  • Participates in Regression and User Acceptance testing for system upgrades and implementations
  • Acts as liaison when necessary to gather upfront data from Legacy systems (Ceridian HPW/L, ADP, etc.)
  • Assist in completing data mapping, cleaning, validation activities as needed
  • Assist with GAP analysis of configurations
  • Manages and maintains report request reconciliation
  • Assists with future system functionality, upgrades, and system integrations in partnership with IT
  • Provides technical direction to Project Manager/team in the development and implementation of systems or in problem solving for Human Resource Management Systems
  • Assists with user acceptance testing of new system functionality or processes; analyzes data flow for process improvements.

Training and Leadership

  • Manage requirements definition and application design by reviewing business requirements documents, functional specifications, and other related documents with project sponsor; participate in Regression and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Provide leadership, support, and mentoring to the shared services personnel
  • Assists in the creation of communications and training to end users for Ceridian Dayforce HCM. Act as functional expert and power user for the organization in Ceridian Dayforce HCM applications
  • Evolve skills through self-study, and practical application of techniques on the job when appropriate
  • Develop an understanding of basic business policies and activities performed by both the IT staff and subsidiary personnel to support the business cycles and deadlines
  • Enhance skills through online training, self-study, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Business-related area preferred
  • Minimum of five years’ Human Resource Information System-related experience required
  • Finance background with GL functions and reporting a plus
  • Strong knowledge in writing SQL/XML queries required
  • Prior HRIS report writing experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access) required
  • Strong knowledge of data mining and data analytic methodologies
  • Aptitude in logical thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to synthesize multiple inputs into concise effective business presentation
  • Ability to perform tests on all supported software
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
