The Solution Architect will provide technical direction/vision across a portfolio of strategic innovation & technology initiatives. You will work closely with a team of multi-discipled problem solvers with extensive technology, product and industry experience to develop functional solutions that address complex business challenges across multiple domains.

In lieu of a Bachelor Degree, 12 years of professional experience involving technology-focused process improvements, transformations, and/or system implementations

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader by:

  • Assessing existing technology environments;
  • Producing technical designs and documentation for new solutions;
  • Defining integration patterns across new and existing cloud applications;
  • Performing build/ buy/ leverage analyses for technical solutions;
  • Participating in the technology partner evaluation and selection process;
  • Creating technical requirements and designs from business requirements;
  • Performing technical feasibility analyse;
  • Assisting with the technical scoping, development planning, and delivery for prototypes, MVPs, and market ready solutions;
  • Working across the entire product life cycle (from concept through launch), focusing on driving the design, development, and deployment of services and applications to support new product development;
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior resources; and,
  • Communicating progress, risks, and issues to product/executive stakeholders.

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success managing the development and utilization of technology, emphasizing the following areas:

  • Driving solution design and service delivery;
  • Collaborating with business and vendor teams & working in collaboration with teams assigned to system infrastructure projects;
  • Building reusable assets and technical artifacts that can be leveraged across other projects;
  • Coordinating with business stakeholders and technology product leads;
  • Engineering and software architectural design, including cloud application development;
  • Working within DevOps tools and processes;
  • Agile project and product management;
  • Monitoring emerging industry trends to determine impact on enterprise solution architecture and technology, and advising strategic direction;
  • Developing frameworks for technology projects to establish manageability and maintainability of automation operations from cradle to grave;
  • Working knowledge of current business processes and the ability to understand new business processes;
  • Envisioning how technology solutions will work in the wider business environment to understand its advantages and what its effect will be;
  • Understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram, and to illustrate a written process description as a workflow diagram;
  • Possessing a thorough understanding of programming concepts and programming background in any programming language;
  • Communicating effectively with executive and business stakeholders;
  • Applying deep analytical skills to ambiguous problems;
  • Successfully delivering a product on time and on budget in an enterprise environment;
  • Managing project resources; and,
  • Working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
