KSWB-TV/FOX 5 News, the local FOX affiliate station in San Diego, is seeking a content creator and social media virtuoso to join the Creative Services Department.

Candidates must have multimedia production experience, along with a minimum of 2 years managing brands on social media platforms and possess knowledge of social media analytics.

Must be proficient with videography and postproduction workflows. Experience in local TV News is pred. Other required proficiencies include - Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and CrowdTangle.

Working with the Creative Services Director, the full time Social/Engagement Producer will oversee creation of content for use across all platforms and establish a digital marketing strategy to engage with our followers and promote FOX 5 News, station community events, and new business initiatives. Experience selling brands through promotion and creative content is mandatory, while leveraging all media platforms to expand our local news brand. This position is tasked with project management, clear communication between Creative Services, News and the digital team while maintaining a high level of quality for content.

The Social/Engagement Producer will write, shoot and edit compelling content for use across all media platforms to expand our local news brand. Must have high proficiency with marketing messaging and branding; strong aptitude for production workflows; a sense of humor and authentic, engaging production style; self-directing, self-motivating, with ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be a versatile team player with the ability to communicate clearly and set attainable expectations with unique, cutting-edge creativity, a competitive spirit and strong team collaborator.

• 2 years’ experience managing brands on social media platforms
• Expert knowledge of Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere editing software.
• Highly organized project manager with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.  
• Experience producing multimedia and/or knowledge of video and photo editing platforms.
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal. 
• Ability to work independently, or as part of a team.
• A thorough knowledge of TV station operations, production and website promotion is desirable.
