Job Description

As a Site Maintenance Lead, Associate Director, well count on you to:

Leads the Engineering/Maintenance and calibration teams as department lead and sets both strategic and tactical plans to drive improvements to achieve maintenance objectives (enhanced equipment reliability and uptime) of a solid oral dosage facility.  The role includes leading maintenance engineers and providing technical (hands-on) training and leadership to shop floor mechanics, including standardizing maintenance procedures (Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance etc.) and implementing reliability maintenance and TPM programs.  

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

COMPLIANCE

  • Carries out maintenance responsibilities in accordance with Tevas quality systems, policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
  • Implement and drives CAPA program for engineering maintenance function. 

MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS, PLANNING AND EXECUTION

  • Develop and implement Maintenance Planning process for effective completion of maintenance routines in close coordination with Operations and planning functions.
  • Drive execution of PM and Calibration program.
  • Implement CMMS system to drive coordination between maintenance planning and execution functions.
     
    MAINTENANCE EXCELLENCE
  • Develop and implement site maintenance strategy including maintenance performance measures and set targets and KPIs.
  • Develop and implement reliability based maintenance program at site.
  • Perform equipment criticality assessments, BOMs creation, periodic assessments of maintenance routines. 
     
    GENERAL
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays on short notice.
     

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

 

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Bachelors in Engineering required (Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
  • 12 or more years of experience within pharmaceutical or related manufacturing experience (with at least 4 years of experience of leading maintenance teams comprising of engineers and technicians).
  • Manufacturing environment within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or food processing industries.
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Well versed with FDA requirements for maintenance compliance and best practices.
  • Reliability maintenance, TPM, and Predictive maintenance tools and techniques.
