Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE Tax Technology and Transformation position is responsible to make an impact of existing and emerging technology, including driving efficiencies to create a cost-effective tax function and the understanding how to make data an asset. The underlying objective of the combined offerings is to help the tax department navigate the digital age of tax transparency, alongside new trends in tax compliance and tax audit methods. Serve as the change agent to drive tax technology initiatives and improvement. Partner and collaborate with all functions in tax department (tax provision, tax compliance, indirect tax and tax controversy) and greater finance organization to implement technology and data solutions. Serve as principal contact on one or more projects with finance innovation, SAP S4 and business partners. Engage and implement solutions for ensuring the accurate and timely filing of tax returns, and own the tools and solutions like one-source, S4 and ETL tools. Tax Technology and Transformation comprises the following services: * Digital tax transformation * SAP tax integration * Tax applications as a service * Tax data and improvement * Tax analytics and reporting enhancements * Emerging tax technology, including robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud solutions, data lake development and business intelligence innovation * Custom tax technology application development and deployment * Tax technology strategy and road maps * Direct and indirect tax systems implementation and configuration * Post-transaction (M&A) tax function operational services * Tax operating model transformation, including process improvements, risks and controls * Tax function assessments MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES NATURE AND SCOPE ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Reports to Sr. Tax Manager
No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
