Senior Sales Analyst - Prospect Desk

**Description** The Staples North American Delivery [NAD] segment, focusing on B2B customers, is looking to hire a Team Analyst, to the NAD Prospect Desk, who will oversee the day-to-day analysis and deployment of the Prospect Desk opportunities and leads. This role will report directly to the Sr. Manager NAD Prospect Desk, within the Sales Operations department.

He/she will be tasked with providing a sustained high-value supply of business development sales opportunities to the field. They will maintain the current state of the system while collaborating with a team of high performing Prospect Desk peers. They will interface with various areas of the business to identify additional prospect sources. They will collect and react to Sales feedback to iterate and improve the Prospect vetting process for the Prospect Desk team. They will attend relevant Sales leadership meetings & serve as a support resource. The candidate will strongly influence, drive and impact the results of the Staples B2B business development sales organization by helping to represent, develop and maintain the Prospect Desk function.


+ Supplement the team of Prospect Desk analysts to deliver high-value Prospects to Sales teams

+ Provide a support service & interface directly with the Business Development Sales leaders

+ Play a significant role in expanding the Prospect Desk function

+ Serve as SME for and co-creator of all Business Development rules of engagement

+ Serve as SME for and co-creator of all Prospect Evaluation & Scoring Models

+ Develop and lead UAT testing and deployment Maintain an up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of industry prospect sources & data standards

+ Provide input through Prospect Desk reporting to influence the strategic direction the function

+ Manage Progress reporting for deployment Core Responsibilities

+ Role will be responsible for supporting the Prospect Desk and working as a key member of its analyst team

+ Tactical aspects include system maintenance (SFDC), reporting and interfacing directly with the field sales team regarding all Prospect Desk performance metrics

+ Conduct analytics to proactively monitor Prospect & Lead quality and draw conclusions on findings

+ Develop and implement platform design improvements as needed

+ Internal customer interactions will interact on a regular basis with the SBA Sales Ops, Sales and Strategy teams

+ Will be responsible for communicating with senior level sales customers (RSDs, RVPs, VPs) regarding Prospecting cycle

+ Motivated to make recommendations based on analysis and review of reporting and data KPIs Key Performance Indicators

+ Team performance (supply) against Business Development pipeline needs (demand)

+ Reporting accuracy and timeliness

+ Insightful analytics to business partners

+ Builds strong relationship with business and internal team


+ Bachelors degree in related field

+ Minimum 3-5 years experience in sales enablement & support, data analytics, supporting technology solutions and/or sales operations

+ Demonstrated excellence in leading a team

+ Salesforce.com experience

+ Strong Excel knowledge with the capability to develop complex formulas to identify root causes or data patterns. Access knowledge a plus

+ Attention to detail & analytical mindset PowerBI reporting experience is a plus
