Job Description

The Senior Manager Demand Planning is a key member of the NA Market Supply Chain Leadership Team and will function as a subject matter expert around all Demand Planning activities.  This role will be accountable to lead the Market Demand Planning process across a diverse portfolio of plants & products.  Demand Planning is an instrumental element of the monthly S&OP process and is expected to enable improved supply availability and increased customer service while optimizing inventory performance. This position will define the demand planning process, motivate, and challenge the cross-functional S&OP team in driving process excellence and continuous improvement. As the owner of the Demand Review process, develop a monthly demand plan in collaboration with Marketing, Finance, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Customer Operations delivering the best possible forecast accuracy while reducing error. This individual will be challenged with managing a vast portfolio of products with a wide variation of market dynamics that must be characterized and considered in the demand plan. The ideal candidate will have the ability and desire to coach and develop fellow team members, drive Sales & Operations Planning process improvement initiatives, and develop strong working relationships & collaboration x-functionally across the broader site, country, regional, and global organizations of Commercial Functions, Operations, Procurement, QA, RA, MS&T, IT, Finance functions, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
    Member of NA Market Supply Chain Planning  Leadership Team
    Lead monthly Demand Planning S&OP process by partnering with diverse cross-functional team to develop a demand consensus with documented assumptions, risks, opportunities, key decisions, and escalations.
    Lead the monthly Demand Consensus S&OP process.  
    Individual contributor that will deliver on key performance targets of Sales, growth, forecast accuracy, bias, short-date, write-off, and Customer Delivery (on-time in full)
    Work with the Global supply chain COE and NA Organization to drive continuous improvement mindset to assist in developing new strategies, tools and processes to achieve overall strategic objectives.  
    Improve forecast accuracy by leveraging industry best practices, analytics, and collaboration with Sales & Marketing, Pricing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Operations.
    Utilize SAP Advanced Planning & Optimization (APO) suite to effectively build the demand plan at the SKU/Customer level.  
    Optimize the statistical forecasting process by evaluating the appropriate algorithms and models.
    Manage processes to determine root cause when KPIs are out of expected normal ranges. Develop and implements corrective measures
    Participate and develop annual operations plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) activities that enable strategic decisions
    Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures
    Other projects and duties as required/assigned

Qualifications

    Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field with a Minimum 7 years experience with a demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain concepts & Best Practices
    APICS Certification desirable, but not required
    Specific experience in Demand Planning, inventory management, Sales & Operations planning
    Knowledge of Advanced Planning systems, SAP or Oracle experience strongly preferred
    Experience in implementing supply chain planning & execution systems
    Pharmaceutical experience desirable, but not required
    Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Visio, Powerpoint)
    Demonstrated Leadership Experience in a global matrix environment with ability to deal with ambiguity
    Expertise leading / driving change, and mentor for new leaders or peers
    Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred
    Strong analytical skills, including the ability to think differently about the data which may lead to less obvious conclusions
