**Senior Manager Revenue Management**

**Position Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated, influential, and experienced team leader to join the Pricing and Revenue Management department in a senior leadership role supporting our Staples Advantage (B2B) business-to-business portfolio of contracted customer accounts.

Within the Revenue Management team, this role will lead our Vertical Market field analyst teams overseeing all Healthcare and Public Sector contract pricing operations, as well as growth and renewal activity for several nationwide programs. This role will partner closely with Vertical Market Sales leadership, peer Revenue Management field analyst teams, and cross-functional partners within Finance, Sales Operations, and Merchandising to achieve shared portfolio goals.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ **Decision making & analytic orientation:** Lead decision making and problem solving for Vertical Market contract pricing portfolio based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation. Demonstrated experience with Business intelligence applications

+ **Strategic leadership:** Develop Revenue Management strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Staples Healthcare and Public Sector programs and Sales teams. Have an ownership mindset, and strategic planning with a 1-6 month horizon

+ **Team leadership** : Lead, build, and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise - fostering innovation, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results

+ **People management:** Manage and develop a team of analysts and project managers. Coaching and mentoring Revenue Management field analyst success with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Staples. Active listener on the team

+ **Change agent:** Proven change management skills, able to navigate well in a cross-functional and high-activity environment

+ **Communicate & influence:** Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

+ **Deliver team results:** Maintain an intense focus on achieving both short- and long-term goals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in a fluid environment

**Key Performance Indicators KPIs:**

+ Influence adoption of Staples Advantage Pricing and Revenue Management strategies

+ Optimize productivity of team and simplify engagement process with Sales teams

+ Define and manage team metrics

+ Define and track portfolio metrics

+ Communicate Pricing Department offerings to our internal/external partners


Anticipated compensation for this role is $97,500.00 - $129,000.00 plus bonus and/or commission (if applicable). Staples reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications and geography.

**Qualifications :**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors degree in a business-related field

+ Minimum of 8-10 years of work experience

+ 4+ years of work experience in B2B distribution environment or financial/analyst work

+ 4+ years of work experience in leading mid to large size multifunctional remote teams

+ 2+ years of project management experience

+ Strong analytical thinker with proven track record of action-oriented decision making

+ Strong ability to directionally derive business value and prioritize

+ Strong written and verbal skills with ability to analyze business requirements, work closely with business partners, and influence at all levels of an organization

+ Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS PowerPoint and MS Excel

+ Highly organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task a must

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA)

+ Experience within a Revenue Management team at a large growth-oriented organization

+ Experience with MS Access and Salesforce.com, or similar analytics and CRM software

+ Experience working directly in coordination with Sales and Sales Finance teams

+ Experience with interpreting Customer Legal Agreements/Terms

+ PMP, Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

+ B2B distribution background
