Job Description

The Sr. Director, Account Management will have accountability for Corporate, Retail and GPO Independent Pharmacy, and Institutional Sales and report directly to the Vice President, Sales & Marketing of Anda. 

 

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

 

All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments.

 

  • Accountability for developing growth strategies to Anda Corporate Accounts, Independent Retail Pharmacy Accounts, large Institutional and Retail Independent Pharmacy Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs). Advise of product / market opportunities and determine which products / markets are best suited for growing selling channels. Coordinate and lead new to market launches to ensure a successful launch and broad market penetration.
  • Drive sales activities to achieve or exceed business objectives, sales growth, and profitability targets for each selling channel. Other business targets will include market share, unit sales, unique customer counts, and effectiveness of supporting processes to drive these metrics. Forecast revenue projections on a monthly basis, and effectively manage our selling channels.
  • Discuss strategies, partnership opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships with the C-level leaders at large Corporate and GPO organizations.
  • Provide direct management and growth development for Field Account Management team.
  • Challenge teams to utilize data to identify more efficient and effective ways to run project(s), grow Sales or positively influence market conditions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of relationships in the industry / channel / partner programs i.e. Corporate buyers, regional chains, mail order, ordering platforms, hybrid sales model through third party alliances, diagnosis to delivery segments.
  • Maintain a culture that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel. Recruit, train, support, develop, promote and guide qualified personnel.
  • Effectively lead the Sales organizations through complex problems guided by situations and ensure appropriate cross functional teams are engaged and informed of portfolio strategies for effective pull through
  • Collaboratively partner with Procurement, Sales Operations, Analytics and Finance in order to optimize business results by providing them with industry updates.
  • Responsible for the consistent application of corporate & regional HR management policies/practices and for ensuring ongoing employee management relations to support optimal team performance.
  • Other projects and duties as required/assigned

 

*This position would be remote. 

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 10 years of Sales and, or Supply Chain experience in the pharmaceutical and, or wholesale drug industries
  • 10 years of experience with developing and managing budgets or bonus program
  • 10 years of experience in Sales management/leadership positions
  • Experience with branded, generic, pharmaceuticals or general consumer products
  • Manage a sales team including coaching, developing, training
  • Experience with negotiation of large customer supply agreements

 

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • A commercially-minded Sales leader with multi-channel marketplace experience. Capacity to conceptualize as well as operationalize commercial strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of the current and future direction of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. i.e. competitors, market strategy and product knowledge
  • Ability to interpret industry trends and competitive information and develop strategies and tactics to respond to changes in the marketplace
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead for results; An enthusiastic leader that can inspire others to be the best versions of themselves
  • Proven ability to communicate strategy clearly to multiple teams and mobilize stakeholders outside of your individual span of control
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
  • Experience with large customers or GPO organizations
  • Excellent negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Approximately 35% domestic travel throughout the US and Canada.
