Position Description:

Position Purpose:
The Senior Analyst on the Investigative Analytics team supports our Central Investigations, Organized Retail Crime, and field Asset Protection teams. As a Senior Analyst, you’ll be responsible for enabling our investigators with the data they need to find, assess, and prosecute theft and fraud. You’ll provide this support by diving into data across all parts of our business to build new exception reports, conduct ad hoc analysis, and develop new self-service analytics tools. Your special combination of data fluency, business acumen, analytical ability, and cross-functional relationship building will not only help us leverage data in a new way but will also help us improve processes by being a force multiplier for Asset Protection. The Senior Analyst uses this skill set to partner with investigators to improve enterprise awareness and quicken the time needed to conduct quality investigations. You’ll also help investigators maintain vital partnerships with various levels of law enforcement. Key activities include deconstructing cases and leads that have been shared and reverse engineering to yield more cases and finds, sourcing of new/valuable information that helps detect theft and fraud, maintaining existing queries/tools, and driving innovation in the Asset Protection theft and fraud arena. Simply put, as an Investigative Senior Analyst, you will play an intricate role in shaping not only what tools are available for investigators, but also how our company analyzes theft and fraud on a conceptual level.

Perform data gathering tasks and analytics identify trends, develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilization
Produce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize. Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors. Synthesize findings and make recommendations to upper management.
Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge

Reports to Asset Protection Manager- Investigative Analytics
No associates report to this role, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work and train to other team members (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action)


Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
