Summary/Objective
The Safety Coordinator/Administrative Assistant position's primary responsibility is for facilitating compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines. The main goal will always be to ensure a safe working environment and prevent any injuries and accidents. This position is part of the admin team and will perform a wide range of administrative tasks supporting the organization.
Safety
- Plan and implement OSHA policies and programs.
- Acts safety committee lead, planning and facilitating quarterly meetings
- Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics.
- Review existing policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all the rules and regulations.
- Work with HR to set up a new employee onboarding process for safety.
- Plans, implements, and tracks training requirements for all employees.
- Implement and support COVID-19 protocols and guidelines to support all employees' health and safety and maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Support project safety initiatives
- Professionally greet and assist clients and guests visiting the office.
- Compose, type, or edit general correspondence, memos, charts, tables, graphs, technical reports, etc.
- Manage meeting preparations, including setting up conference rooms and catering.
- Monitor fax server and route faxes appropriately.
- Process mail and prepare UPS and Fed-Ex packages for pick up.
- Bind reports and make copies as needed.
- Order office supplies.
- Make travel arrangements.
- Set up filing systems.
- Assist with coordination of social activities for the Portland office.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Administrative

- Prior experience in professional services a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working outdoors highly preferred.
- One year of safety experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of office or safety experience preferred.
