Revenue Management Analyst

**Description**

**Position Summary:**



We are seeking a high-energy detail-oriented analytical thinker to join the Pricing and Revenue Management department and support our Staples Advantage (B2B) business-to-business portfolio of contracted customer accounts.



Within the Revenue Management team, this role will primarily oversee financial analysis, pricing compliance, and contract implementation of key vendor-supported programs. This entry-level role into our Revenue Management Planning and Coordination group will also be actively involved in driving portfolio-wide centralized initiatives to successful completion by supporting the needs of our Field Revenue Management analyst teams.



**Primary Responsibilities:**



+ Process all inbound sales requests for key vendor-supported pricing programs

+ Independently host meetings with field Sales Reps or cross-functional peers as needed

+ Provide support for periodic Revenue Management initiatives; driving price, assortment and revenue growth in-line with customer legal agreements and creating end-user customer value

+ Work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure all Field Revenue Management analyst team dependencies are known and adequately delivered

+ Uncover insights within large data sets and provide actionable recommendations for process and/or performance improvements

+ Regularly and effectively communicate program results and initiative progress to leaders

+ Other ad-hoc pricing projects or analysis as assigned



**Key Performance Indicators KPIs:**



+ Inbound sales team request queue average time to completion, SLAs

+ Vendor program performance annual contribution and product unit demand

+ Revenue Management initiatives progress vs plan; time and financials



Compensation:



Anticipated compensation for this role is $51,500.00 - $55,000.00 plus bonus and/or commission (if applicable). Staples reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications and geography.



**Qualifications**

**Basic Qualifications:**



+ Bachelors degree in a business-related field

+ 1-2 years of work experience

+ Strong analytical thinker with proven track record of action-oriented decision making

+ Strong ability to directionally derive business value and prioritize

+ Expert-level experience working in MS Excel

+ Strong written and verbal skills with ability to analyze business requirements, work closely with business partners, and regularly and independently communicate progress



**Preferred Qualifications:**



+ Experience within a Revenue Management team at a large growth-oriented organization

+ Experience with MS Access and Salesforce.com, or similar analytics and CRM software

+ Experience working directly in coordination with Sales and Sales Finance teams
