Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, occasional evenings and weekends.

The University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research [CAER] is seeking a Project Controls Analyst for its Power Generation group. The position will be responsible for project coordination and controls through a systems engineering approach for the design, integration, and execution of projects directed to constructing/operating large research pilot plants. Among other duties, the successful applicant will be engaged in: monitoring/reporting project schedule and cost performance against plan; conducting critical path analysis to identify potential bottlenecks; developing detailed engineering schedules and cost estimates; and engaging with PowerGen’s research staff, its sponsors, utility partners, EPCs and clients.
Education and experience related to business administration and project management is preferred. Looking for a staff member who has strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of teamwork, adaptability, and initiative.

Additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.
