Physical Requirements

Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and or fingers. Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 lbs in all directions. Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time. Effectively communicating with individuals from diverse backgrounds.


Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, occasional evenings and weekends.

Job Summary

The University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research [CAER] is seeking a Project Controls Analyst for its Power Generation group. The position will be responsible for project coordination and controls through a systems engineering approach for the design, integration, and execution of projects directed to constructing/operating large research pilot plants. Among other duties, the successful applicant will be engaged in: monitoring/reporting project schedule and cost performance against plan; conducting critical path analysis to identify potential bottlenecks; developing detailed engineering schedules and cost estimates; and engaging with PowerGen’s research staff, its sponsors, utility partners, EPCs and clients.
Education and experience related to business administration and project management is preferred. Looking for a staff member who has strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of teamwork, adaptability, and initiative.
