REPORTS TO: Vice President of Rental Job Summary: This is a leadership position responsible for maximizing the Utilization of rental assets and the development of Riggs CAT employees. Key Areas: Job Responsibilities: Minimum Requirements 1 - 5 years Rental Sales Leadership experience. Overnight Travel. Moderate 2 - 7 days per month. Excellent Leadership ability. Analytical Aptitude and Reasoning Proficient in the use of 'Microsoft Office Suite' Salary Range Varies with experience level. Primary Responsibilities: Effective development and leadership of the outside and inside rental salesforce Work in conjunction with branch management to exceed branch rental goals Meet or exceed R12 Time Utilization goals Meet or exceed Financial Utilization goals Exceed revenue goals at all locations Achieve jobsite coverage at all jobsites in all Rental Rep. covered territories Provide effective leadership to all sales channels as it relates to rental performance Have command of the Dodge Reports and translate the data into opportunities for outside rental sales Maintain Rental Rep score cards Provide Monthly Reporting to Caterpillar as required Provide frequent updates to VP of Rental including: jobsite coverage, individual sales performance, wins/losses, competitive updates, etc. Provide comprehensive sales and conflict resolution training to all rental 'customer facing personnel' including but not limited to: Outside Sales, Inside Sales, and Transportation personnel Review Rouse Data monthly to provide rate guidance to Corporate Rental team. Work with marketing department to develop and execute innovative marking strategies Arrange vendor ride-a-longs and sales training Leadership Provide best in class leadership to all Riggs employees Trust Education Empowerment Communication Attitude Leadership Sales Develop strategies and promotions to increase rental revenues/profits. Develop salesmen with frequent and purposeful ride-a-longs Promote and develop positive relationships with customers to maximize profits and inventory turns and minimize slow moving inventory. Provide Marketing Manager with merchandising strategies and information to promote the rental operation for maximum customer visibility. Key performance indicators New customer growth New agreement growth Active customer growth Active agreement growth Fleet utilization Financial utilization Physical Requirements Must be able to exert 40 lbs. of force occasionally and 10 lbs. Of force frequently. Position requires reaching, grasping, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling and standing. Position may be required to traverse rough or uneven ground and mounting machinery. Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, for contact with customers and co-workers. Must be able to read and comprehend information received via computer terminal, specification reports, financial contracts, technical/business correspondence and reports. Safety Attend Monthly and Quarterly Safety Training meetings. Follow all company proposed safety; performance and general conduct work rules. Notify supervisor of any accidents, near miss or safety hazards observed. Must have valid driver's license. General Adhere to all company and department personnel policies and procedures. Position is subject to extended work hours and be on emergency call out rotation as business dictates. Current and past performance in department assignments will be considered as a part of the selection process. Transfers between departments are contingent upon realistic resolution of any vacancy caused by transfer from current department.
