As a CS On-site Project Leader you are responsible for the operational management of complex field upgrades at customer sites.

In this role you will use resources from CS Upgrades Field and local office CS team. You will manage an upgrade team of up to engineers 50.

## **Job Mission**

The sector Customer Support (CS) is responsible for the maintenance, repair and continuous improvement of ASML systems at customer locations, as well as transferring all relevant knowledge and supporting the customer in the use of these systems in his production process.

The Customer Support Upgrades (CSU) organization manages the execution of complex upgrades on ASML machines at customer sites.

## **Job Description**

Your tasks consist of three main activities.

Preparation phase

* Prepare an overall capacity plan to execute the assigned upgrade at the customer site.

* Together with line management assure that staffing is done according to blueprint.

* Agree with local site management on local resource allocation.

* Prepare travel/housing/seating/communication needs for the whole team.

* Define and agree on total upgrade package including extra work that’s not part of the upgrade. The agreement has to be made between local CS, CSU Project manager and you.

* Define and maintain rules/way of working during upgrades and have this reviewed by line management.

Execution phase:

* Provide and share operational planning with pre-defined milestones to the CSU Project manager.

* Support the execution of the upgrade taking the following into account:
Maintain a professional attitude in the upgrade team
Be the ambassador of the Customer Support Upgrades department
Take the lead in escalation management when needed.
Manage on-site resource issues (sick-leave, training, time-off etc.)

* Issue management
Ensure together with VHV CSU PL and assigned coordinator(s) that follow-up actions on reported issues are secured and are on track.

* Escalation management
Ensure the agreed escalation process is executed and take the lead when needed.
Take the lead in escalations that are beyond control of coordinators and team leads, and implement methods and/or action that prevent them from happening again.

* Cycle time management.
Trace the pre-defined milestones in the overall execution plan and define/take actions, to ensure the cycle time stays on track.

* Continuous improvement.
Provide feedback during and at the end of the upgrade that will enhance future upgrades, taking costs and cycle time into account

* Provide performance feedback to line management
Provide feedback on IPM targets and suggestions to improve these targets (if needed)

* Coach the team members
Coach the team members in maintaining a safe work environment.
Review the execution phase with the team members on a regular base.
Celebrate success with the team.

Reporting phase

* Daily progress
Daily reporting on project status during the upgrade.

* Management report:
Provide a weekly management report on predefined KPI’s
Cycle time
Engineer utilization
Operational costs
Issue management

## **Education**

MS technical degree (Metrology, Mathematics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, (Applied) Physics) or equivalent experience.

## **Experience**

* Experience in a challenging environment with high tech products and complex processes

* At least 1-3 years’ work experience as a Project Leader

* Extended knowledge of ASML products

## **Other information**

Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%, travel required is dependent on the phase of the upgrade projects.
