QUALITY/INFECTION CONTROL EDUCATION COORDINATOR

POSITION SUMMARY
Serves as Quality/Infection Control/Education under direct oversight of the Director of Nursing. Will act as a resource to the Health Care Facility identifying opportunities and improvement processes on outcomes; to assure patient safety, quality of care, evidence of best practices and implementing the utilization of best practices into daily care. Work with hospital departments and projects that are aligned with the organization’s strategic initiatives to improve clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, patient safety and striving to have continuous compliance with all accreditation and regulatory requirements. -
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Licenses and Certifications Required

Current North Dakota Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse

Educational Requirements
-
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Experience Requirements
-
Excellent experience as staff nurse in a Critical Access Hospital

Special Skills or Training Requirements
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Knowledge of adult learning principles including principles of evaluation preferred

High level of confidentiality required

Knowledge of research methods and statistical analysis and literature analysis/review ability recommended

Must have leadership/management skills

Strong problem-solving, critical thinking skills and adaptability to manage crisis required

Basic computer skills including data entry recommended
