POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Project Manager Merchandising position is to provide effective management over key Merchandising projects.  This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide leadership and deliver strategic process and system changes.  This role will focus on end-to-end Merchandising processes to ensure new processes are effective and efficient.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• 40% PROJECT CONTROL - Develops an effective plan for controlling project scope, schedule and cost, and monitors project execution to ensure that the plan is being followed.
• 30% PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS - Develops an effective plan for communicating project information to the project team and to the project stakeholders.
• 10% PROJECT RISK MANAGEMENT - Leads the definition of project risks and the required mitigation approaches.
• 10% PROJECT LESSONS LEARNED - At the completion of a project or project phase, captures key lessons learned and communicates to peer Project Managers.
• 10% PROJECT ENVIRONMENT - Shares responsibility with the project leadership for providing a good working environment.
