Project Accountant – Temp Estimated for 8 months


General Position Summary

The Project Accountant position will report to the Accounting Manager and primarily be responsible for Project Accounting. This includes issuing monthly invoices and associated documentation for select projects as well as assisting Project Managers with internal reporting. Other work in the department will include assisting with A/R and A/P and completing monthly accounting reports in Excel as needed.


Other Functions & Responsibilities

  • Assist other accounting functions as needed.
  • Publish internal accounting reports in Excel.
  • Assist with month-end close.


Job Skills

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
  • A good understanding of Excel required.
  • Computer accounting experience preferred.
    • Deltek experience a plus.
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, team-oriented individual.


Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma required.
  • Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
  • 0-3 years’ experience in Accounting.
  • Experience in a professional services firm a plus.


Job Conditions

Work is typically performed at our headquarters in downtown Portland, Oregon, but due to Covid-19, work is performed remotely. The job requires: physical ability to operate a telephone and computer, sit for extended periods of time, and occasionally, the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
