Job Summary | The department of Cancer Clinic Services is seeking a Patient Relations Assistant to check patients in and check patients out, schedule patient appointments, answer phones, and triage patients to ensure they are connected with the proper staff. Will work with cash collections, schedule ancillary services, obtain pre-certifications, and correct registration of patients in the system. Verify insurance and demographic data, reconcile end of day process, provide excellent customer service, and monitor wait times and expectations. Resolve patient complaints in an empathetic and timely fashion, provide teamwork and leadership to prevent and resolve service failure process problems. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will have extensive customer service experience and able to communicate in a calm and helpful manner during stressful and/or crisis situations. Should have the ability to pay high attention to detail; work with a teamwork mindset; have data entry skills and respect for confidentiality; be able to prioritize tasks efficiently; and work in multiple systems simultaneously. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Associate’s degree with 4 or more years related experience preferred. |
