Active Kentucky RN license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), or Active compact state RN license that is in good standing and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider valid for at least 6months after initial employment date.

Physical Requirements
This position will require the ability to occasionally lift, push, and/or pull 50-100lbs; sitting/standing at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; repetitive motion; risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; occasional cuts, punctures, bloodborne/airborne pathogens; and occasionally dealing with combative/violent people.
Shift
UK hospitals operate on a 24-hour, 7-day a week basis. As an exempt level employee, shift will vary and include days, nights, evenings, weekends and holidays per departmental needs.
Job Summary
The Patient Care Manager (PCM) assumes 24-hour accountability for planning, supervising and evaluating the care of patients and Nursing practice. The primary responsibilities are to provide for the safe, effective, and efficient patient care as well as to direct the business, technical and nursing support activities of the surgical oncology inpatient unit.
