Job Description

The Operational Excellence Lead will support the department head and the Operational Excellence Leader in implementing and sustaining OPEX at the department.  The OPEX Lead will support the department OPEX activities including data collection and analysis, prioritizing projects and creating the implementation plans.

They will assist in documentation of processes, participate with team activities and meetings, and communicate findings.  It is expected that the OPEX Department Lead will learn the key aspects and methodologies of the Teva Production System and other process improvement techniques needed to understand and assist in driving to achieve a step change in the performance of the site in terms of quality, service and cost competitiveness while engaging and empowering the site employees

This position will interact with employees at every level of the plant and will be part of the global OPEX community.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use standard approach to shape and execute strategy and approach for deploying the full OpEx to improve business performance and increase peoples lean competency
  • Train and Coach team members and other key stakeholders to increase their lean technical and lean leadership competency
  • Train and coach site leadership teams with focus on the site leader, quality leader, and OpEx leader
  • Leverage prioritized projects to deliver improved business performance & increasing skills of site resources
  • Application of OpEx to improve safety, compliance, process stability, drive continuous improvement, build quality and efficiency into processes and improve process lead times and speed to market
  • Improve key site processes including operations, quality, planning and other support functions to enable end to end flow
  • Apply lean skills to improve line designs to improve safety, quality and efficiency
  • Enhance the management system of sites from Tier 1 to Tier 3
  • Manage and leverage external coaches to accelerate people development of site resources
  • Partner with other OpEx Director and team members to ensure standardization
  • Develop and implement leader standard work for all key site leaders
  • Lead and or contribute to other prioritized OpEx work as required
  • Apply change management methods to ensure effective execution of OpEx and to promote a culture and mindset of operational excellence and continuous improvement across operations with increasing external focus and embedding it into our daily work
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Lead production environment, preferably in thepharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in one ofseveral operational functions (e.g. Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Supply Chain is an advantage).
  • Project management experience and excellent time management skills.
  • Lead background is an advantage.
  • Relevant university degree (technical, pharmaceutical, chemical, Industrial engineer)
  • Fluent in local site language and conversational Level in English
  • Excellent knowledge in MS Office
