Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Oncology Assoc Key Account Mgr (OAKAM) is to represent Oncology products, as part of the brand strategy within targeted Oncology Clinics and Hospital customers not managed by Tevas IDN Key Account Mgrs.  OAKAM is accountable for the implementation of product access strategies/tactics for a defined list of Targets in collaboration with Marketing and Sales. The ability to successfully network and penetrate key account targets and to develop and cultivate long-term working relationships is critical. 

 

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • In concert with sales, identify, develop, and maintain relationships with strategically important decision makers in assigned accounts. Demonstrate business acumen through analysis to identify, create, and quantify business opportunities, attend all relevant Society Meetings.
  • Have a working knowledge of generic and brand pharmaceutical Industry, contracting, distribution channels, pricing, chargebacks and institutional sales.
  • Facilitate purchase of targeted Oncology products individually and in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams and negotiate contracts.
  • Monitor account contract performance to ensure compliance with the goal of driving incremental sales. Gain formulary access for targeted Teva Oncology Brands
  • Typically leads a small sales team but without supervisory authority

This position will include Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Pittsburg, Toledo, Columbus and other areas geographically similiar but not specifically listed.  The selected candidate must live within the geography of the territory. 

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 4 + years of pharmaceutical, Healthcare or pharmaceutical sales experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Oncology, Market Access or Marketing within the pharmaceutical industry
  • History of superior sales results
  • Understanding of healthcare delivery systems, including Buy and Bill, reimbursement, contracting and pharmaceutical pricing strategies and specific to Oncology including clinics, GPOs and IDNs.                   
  • Ability to rapidly develop and maintain relationships with key accounts and their decision makers including (C-Suite selling).
  • Ability to work in a heavily matrixed environment across various functional teams

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience in reimbursement, contracting and pharmaceutical pricing strategies a plus
  • Hospital / Account Mgmt experience
  • Biologic experience preferred
