**Description**

***$500 Retention Bonus**

**(Bonus to be paid in 2 parts. Employee will receive $250 at 45 days of service and the remaining $250 at 90 days of service.)**



**Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm**



**PositionSummary:**



Performs various installation duties
including: delivery, assembly, installation, repair and service of warranty and
non-warranty furniture and products from other lines of business at customer
sites.



**PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities** in
order of importance. Other duties may be assigned.






1. Installs all types of free-standing furniture, paneland modular systems, facility dispensers, office signage, and otherproducts sold by Staples and Staples Lines of Business. This includes placement, leveling,wipe-down, and touch-up of metal and wood furniture at customerslocation.





2. Abilityto mount Facility, Copy & Print, and Furniture products to walls ofvarious constructions.


3. Abilityto read and understand basic installation drawings


4. Inspectsproduct(s) for proper functionality per manufacturers specifications.


5. Instructcustomer on proper use of the product.







6. DrivesStaples truck on daily assigned route with up to 15 stops





7. ObtainDOT certification

Observes and enforces local,
provincial/state, and federal OSHA and DOT safety rules and regulations.



o
Demonstrates safe work behaviors and promptly
corrects all unsafe conditions.









1. Mustfollow the guidelines in the Furniture Driver Manual







2. Worksindependently or within a team under the work direction of the leadinstaller on a large install for developmental purposes.


3. Utilizemobile technology to create punch lists and change orders.





4. Capturecustomer signature and date upon delivery.







5. Loadsproduct(s) onto a truck and delivers to customers site forinstallation.





6. Required to provide back-up to warehouse associates,assist **PrimaryInteractions:**



Daily interaction with customers, market furniture staff,
and warehouse furniture management.



**Competencies:**




Good communication skills, both verbal
and written




Ability to read construction blueprints
and CAD installation drawings




Basic computer skills




Demonstrated competence related to
writing installation project and problem reports.




Ability to apply common sense to carry
out instructions furnished in written and oral form.




















































Excellent customer service skills,
conducting customer contact in a professional and courteous manner.








**Qualifications**



**Educationand/or Experience:**





















**Education/Experience Equivalent (** minimum
requirements)




















+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED)required.


+ A minimum of one (1) year experience assembling andservicing furniture preferred.


+ A minimum of one (1) year experience driving adelivery truck preferred.








Experience in
using hand and electrical tools preferred.





































**Professional Certifications / Licenses**


















Must be able to meet DOT commercial vehicle operation
Certification and obtain a DOT medical card.







Attend furniture mfg. installation certification and
training classes as required.









+ Must betrained and MHE certified to operate power material handling equipmenti.e. Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack etc.


+ Must have a valid drivers license; be at least 21years of age.

requires physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual

+ While performing the dutiesof this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb,stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push/pull, or balance weight for extended periodsof time.

+ The employee must frequentlylift, move, and/or carry between 70 to 100 pounds.

+ With mechanical assistance, employee willoccasionally move up to 300 pounds.

+ Employee will regularly drive a delivery truck and must be able to enterand exist the truck throughout the day.

+ Will regularly operate warehouse equipment that requires manualdexterity and use of lightweight tools requiring some coordinatedmovements.

+ Activities include using aforklift or pallet jack to move furniture; and lightweight tools to assemble,install or repair furniture.

delivery routes in all types of weather.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly operates
