Job Summary
The Navigator position will provide support to patients and their family members to navigate appointments, services, resources, and schedules related to the care provided within the division of Pediatric Surgery. This position will work with patients and caregivers to facilitate communication between physicians, clinic staff and all other care providers in the continuum of care in order to identify strategies and resolve barriers to healthcare. The patient navigator will address and resolve concerns and issues in order for treatment plans to be the most effective. Promote customer satisfaction to both patient families, referring providers and practices as well as maintain positive relationships within UKHC. Will perform scheduling of surgical cases, COVID testing, and will work closely with Perioperative services regarding patient needs.

Preferred Education/Experience
Previous experience in education and health care preferred.
