Job Description

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Length: 14 Weeks (May 10th - Aug 14th)
Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week (Monday-Friday) for 14 weeks summer 2021
Pay: $17/hour
Job Description:
A MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Intern will engage hands-on in the manufacturing process by designing Electronic Manufacturing Batch Records for pharmaceutical products. The MES Intern will begin the program with an overview of the company, site, and product portfolios. Following orientation, the intern will be guided by an MES Engineer in the design and validation of electronic manufacturing records in the MES system. The capstone project will be a collection of Master Batch Records that drives the manufacture of a pharmaceutical product through the facility.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting technical documents.
Performing analysis and flow charting of manufacturing processes.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, and Visio.
Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies. General computer programming knowledge will be considered.
Complying with all Company policies and procedures.
Following all Company safety rules and regulations, recognizing hazards and taking appropriate corrective action.
Understanding and following written and oral instructions.
Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with individuals contacted in the course of work.
During the 14 week program, you will gain in-depth insights into the Manufacturing Execution Systems (Manufacturing Operations) department.
Supported by a mentor and experienced colleagues, you will be directly involved in our daily business and be assigned tasks within diverse projects.
You will also play an important role in the development of concepts and initiatives within the Operations business unit.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with a concentration in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar.
Experience in a pharmaceutical, medical device, or controlled manufacturing environment is preferred
