Job Description

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) functions as a regional medical and scientific resource responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with national and regional External Experts (EEs) in support of key scientific medical objectives.  The MSL engages in fair-balanced scientific exchange with EEs, provides education to health care providers on Teva products and disease states of interest, and provides clinical research support Neuroscience to include Headache at Teva. 


The territory for this role is in New England (NH, MA, RI & ME). Candidate must live in the territory, Boston is preferred


Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and manage collaborative relationships with External Experts (EEs) and other healthcare professionals in the area of Migraine/Headache.
Develop and demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of Teva, its products, current medical and scientific research and   publications in therapeutic areas of interest to Teva
Provide relevant medical and scientific support for healthcare providers, third-party payers, managed care audiences, and internal cross functional partners (e.g., sales training, advisory meetings, marketing-led initiatives, etc.)
Deliver high quality medical education presentations in a variety of settings (e.g., formulary committees, medical meetings, and allied healthcare professionals) and obtain feedback that can be disseminated throughout the organization
Respond to requests for medical information and/or unsolicited off-label questions in a scientific, fair-balanced, compliant manner
Assist clinical development in identifying potential investigators and sites for company sponsored clinical trials;  support clinical trials, investigator management as required in collaboration with clinical operations/clinical research
Provide support for and serve as liaison between clinical investigators and internal stakeholders in support of  investigator-initiated studies on Teva products, from proposal to publication
Responsible for first line review of investigator-initiated studies and, in collaboration with Medical Directors, facilitate the submission, review and approval process for investigator-initiated studies




Education and Experience


  Advanced scientific degree (M.D., D.O., Ph.D., Pharm.D.) required, Neuroscience background preferred


  Relevant therapeutic and clinical experience strongly desired but not essential
  Clinical experience within Headache/Migraine therapeutic area a plus
  An established track record of effective and influential oral presentations within the healthcare profession
  1+ years industry experience preferably in the MSL role but not required and will consider other experience
  Approximately 50% overnight travel required with several night and/or weekend activities
