Job Description
The Office of the Chief Data Officer is charged with being the voice of data and generally representing data as a strategic business asset. The primary role of this organization is to champion the use of data and information across the firm, and drive changes and improvements in data related operations. This office will help to enable the business, as well as provide insights related to attendant risks.

Significant effort will be dedicated to determining PwC data related needs, and developing proposed solutions. The Chief Data Officer team identifies where, when, how, and why the business uses data, and transforms it into information that serves clients.

PwC's Data Management Organization is an internally-focused team which is strategically aligned to the Firm's priorities and passionately focused on maximizing the value of data as a strategic asset by maintaining data standards and improving data quality across the enterprise. The team is responsible for assisting with implementing the overall strategic direction of the the Data Management Organization and the Information Management strategy of our cross line of service and cross functional organization. Establishing and maintaining the highest possible standards for managing our Master Data will enable simplification, reduce costs, and increase the intrinsic value of the information the team manages.

The Master Data Management (MDM) group works collaboratively across marking and sales, lines of service, ethics and compliance, risk and quality, office of strategic change, finance, Firm leadership, data owners, and other enabling functions to ensure global alignment to our transformation initiatives around collaboration, contact to cash, global advisory and information share across our network. The group works closely with a vast array of functional teams and line of service specific functional teams while serving as the Center of Excellence in order to integrate the information from either source or consuming systems. MDM is also involved in designing and driving common elements through downstreams systems and processes.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 4

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma

Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree Computer Science/Information Management, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Data Visualization (e.g., BA, BS, MS) or equivalent experience

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Understanding of data and the analysis required to align and conform data structures to integrate with the MDM Enterprise Data Architecture (MEDA);

- Working with integration technologies, SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Excel Data Analysis;

- Understanding or the aptitude to understand how information flows from marketing and sales, Risk and Quality, finance as well as how information is used for reporting, this is both territory specific and globally across the PwC Network;

- Understanding of the various functional networks and an ability to build, expand and/or leverage existing relationships;

- Understanding the impacts of significant business and technical changes, how they apply to current operations, and ultimately establishing minimal disruption to the business process supported;

- Working with both business and technical resources to accurately align information assets into MEDA.

- Project management and effective prioritization/time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously;

- Working with data structures and their interrelated dependencies in navigating complex information needs; and,

- High level of client service modeled through the ability to develop work approach, project plans and communications to meet/exceed client requirements and establish maximum impact/outcomes.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Implementing strategic plans with experience in project management;

- Creating professional networks, building strong relationships, organizing and collaborating with individuals at all levels of seniority and lines of the organization;

- Managing, setting priorities and collaborating across the delivery teams;

- Defining data enhancement projects, establishing timely completion of standard tasks and maintaining responsiveness to the needs of the team members;

- Creating and conveying a value proposition (oral or written) including the ability to identify the issue (prepare and listen), share insight, validate, co-develop a solution, and move to next steps;

- Using judgment to foresee technical issues based on approaches and have an understanding of the impact of issues/ideas as they relate to the Firms strategic initiatives and objectives;

- Facilitating and ability to coach/ teach others;

- Solving problems and conflict resolution using written and verbal communication skills;

- Managing budget and ability to collect and analyze data to communicate return on investment and impact; and,

- Navigating and working effectively in a heavily matrixed organization.
