Job Description

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, troubleshoots the manufacturing and packaging processes and equipment, identifies process improvement opportunities, and provides support to the site in the areas of packaging engineering, including packaging component selection and testing.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 Lead the Packaging Engineering scope for new initiatives following the site's engineering delivery methodology.
 Accountable for packaging equipment and component selection and staying at the forefront of new technologies.
 Identify and deliver safety, reliability, GMP compliance, cost savings improvement projects
 Researches and recommends improvements in manufacturing and packaging control and automation systems.
 Identify recurrent problems, recommend, and implement the upgrades of current equipment and/or the purchase of new equipment to meet regulatory requirements.
 Lead Front End Engineering, cost & feasibility inputs and technical scope development.
 Accountable for generating packaging component technical drawings, material specifications, die lines, and artwork following GMP practices.
 Troubleshoots manufacturing and packaging equipment and processes.
 Interfaces with MS&T (Material Science and Technology) and Research and Development on manufacturing and packaging requirements for new and current products, and related simulated distribution testing per ASTM D4169 and ISTA protocols.
 Provide overall project management support for technical transfers and product scale-up activities.
 Prepares capital expenditure requests.
 Follows Teva's Safety, Health and Environment policies and guidelines.
 Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations and all department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
 Performs related duties as assigned.





  • Bachelor degree in engineering required



  • Minimum two (2) years of engineering experience required
