The Manager, Product Analytics will be responsible for conducting advanced modeling and analytics with the goal of identifying, recommending, and executing strategies to achieve business objectives and maximize sales and profitability across all channels. The individual will be responsible for sourcing data from various THD systems, developing user-friendly dashboards and tools for stakeholders and performing analyses to improve business decisions. Uses advanced statistical, econometric, and quantitative analysis techniques to develop in-depth understanding of opportunities.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • 40% - Develop scalable and actionable models / visualization tools to allow leadership to efficiently identify key opportunities and make data-driven, strategic decisions
  • 30% - Conduct thorough analyses to identify, prioritize, and recommend key business opportunities related to technical product roadmap, pipeline, sales performance, operational efficiencies and profitability
  • 20% - Develop and maintain data visualization and analysis tools in support of team’s objectives 
  • 10% - Partner with cross-functional counterparts to ensure development of well-thought out, sustainable, and effective solutions

  • This position reports to Product Management, Senior Manager.
  • This position has 2+ direct reports.

Environmental Job Requirements

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area
  • Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
  • Experience querying and mining large relational and unstructured transactional/clickstream data in SQL Server, Teradata, BigQuery or DB2 systems
  • Experience with THD enterprise architecture
  • Experience conceptualizing, developing and deploying innovative analytical solutions in production  environment: architect solutions to streamline and automate reports; develop complex stored procedures, macros or routines in SQL Server, BigQuery or Teradata; aggregate data from disparate/cross-functional data sources; design and develop dashboards using advanced visualization techniques; distribute reports using Tableau or Microstrategy
  • Experience identifying key data insights through traditional analytical tools (Excel, Tableau) or advanced statistical modeling techniques using SAS, R or similar tools

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills at all levels; ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong business intelligence and data analysis skills with proven ability that has resulted in scalable and actionable reporting solutions
  • Skilled in translating business questions / problems into analytical models Identifying critical and key data sources across numerous and disparate data sources
  • Experience with conducting complex ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) operations in a scalable fashion
  • Designing and developing both distributed reports and interactive dashboards
  • Data modeling and creating new databases from previously unstructured data sources
  • Experience with the following Business Intelligence dashboard and reporting platforms: Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
