Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The Manager, Privacy Operations will partner with technical and operational leaders on the Customer IT, Privacy, Legal, Customer Data Governance and Customer Data Management teams to ensure the Company’s compliance with privacy regulations such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). The Manager will oversee the operational processes to fulfill privacy requests and deliver continuous process improvements to help deliver value internally and to our customers.
  • Monitor the execution of tasks related to the fulfillment of CCPA/other privacy requests to ensure the Company remains compliance and meets/exceeds established KPIs. Manage and proactively communicate issues and roadblocks related to their respective area and make recommendations for resolution
  • Partner with IT, Customer Data Governance, Customer Data Management, Legal/Privacy and other stakeholders throughout the business to drive and manage new projects and process improvements while ensuring quality performance of existing processes. Communicate effectively and build strong, effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Oversee program monitoring and reporting, including enhancements to monitoring/reporting systems and tools (Google Big Query, Tableau dashboards)
  • Support strategic planning for the Privacy Technology and Operations team through the development of roadmaps, objectives, and other program documents
  • Manage and support resources and ensure efficient resource utilization. Includes appropriate selection, terminations, performance appraisal and professional development of direct reports (Analysts)

    MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
    • 20% - Refine and manage access request process. Communicate internally rules and policies for access.
    • 10% - Assess and enhance the framework for customer information classification and take ongoing inventory of where customer information resides in applicable IT systems.
    • 50% - Refine, manage and run the enterprise Customer Data Governance process, including developing meeting materials and running the Working Committee and Governance Committee meetings; Work with Legal and Internal Audit to assess and enhance The Home Depot's enterprise Customer Data Governance process in accordance with our Privacy and Security Policies.
    • 20% - Work with IT Security to provide ongoing assessment and monitoring of appropriate security measures regarding access and usage of customer information in accordance with The Home Depot's Privacy and Security Policies.

      ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
      Environment:
      Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
      Travel:
      Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
