Job Description

Position Summary:
Under direction of Senior Director of Market Planning the Manager Market Planning is responsible for oversight and identification of issues impeding all Branded (Specialty) product supply.  Monitoring and preforming analysis of all product-related AOP (Annual Operating Plans), Shipments vs. Forecasts, Supplys, inventory positions (low & back order), in depth understanding of scenarios (upsides and risks).    Communicates status of Branded (Speciality) performance and collaborates within TGO operations; Supply Chain, site poin of contacts to minimize and/or eliminate supply concerns, constraints,and back order situations.

Major duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee the critical elements of insuring supply; including the development, publishing, and maintaining the planning and scheduling to balancing inventory, resources, and capacity to meet market needs.
  • Perform AOP Forecast vs. financial forecast focusing on risk impacts to obtaining planned targets, insuring viability of critical products.
  • Insuring the delivery commitments on Branded (Specialty) products, which involve verifying forecasts vs Shipments, identifying trends and understand inventory impacts that provides forward looking impact assessment. 
  • Analyzing inventory positions, supply risks and backorders and upside scenarios. Identifying trends and risks, insuring system accuracy and monitor long range gaps in supply. 
  • Review and identify gaps in SAP systems alignment of plans to market needs including planning data such as safety stocks, commits, long term plans. Focus on negotiate corrective actions to product schedules when dictated by changes in business.
  • In depth analytics to gain forward looking KPIs for the supply of products within the current AOP or LBE operating plans.
  • Support commercial AOP process in coordination with commercial operations as required.
  • Serve as primary liaison between Commercial operations and TGO operations teams communicating gaps, issue, concerns in obtaining AOP and LBE plans and preventing low inventory and backorder occurrence.
  • Perform other duties as required.
     

Qualifications


Education and Knowledge Requirements:
Education Level: (minimum) 
BA/BS degree 

Preferred Areas of Study and Skills: 

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Operations or related discipline an asset.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Oversight, Project Management processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements 
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems (SAP an asset)
  • Extensive experience with SAP, change management, and innovation to integrate electronic systems for a compliant environment

Similar or Related Experience Desired:

  • Minimum 5 years experience 
  • Experience in Supply planning, inventory management, with a multi-site environment.
  • Experience in pharma industry with supply chain and project management.

Essential Skills and Capabilities:

  • Sound knowledge of Supply Chain processes; planning, replenishments, forecasting, advanced planning, inventory management, and master data maintenance.
  • Well motivated individual with excellent initiative, leadership and interpersonal skills. Collaborate internally and externally to influence cross-functional change, insuring systemic changes to control compliance, priorities, and meet all deliverables
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.      
  • Strong communication, teamwork and presentation skills. 
  • Strategic thinker with strong operational experience, problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to lead problem solving and improvement teams.
  • Proficient in MS office applications. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proven track record in continuous improvement, leading successful teams, empowering/ enabling people and talent management
  • Practical experience in leading teams within an OPEX/ lean manufacturing environment
  • Travel as required.
