The Learning Manager is responsible for supervising the development and design of learning deliverables to meet the objectives defined by the Learning Department. It is their responsibility to ensure excellence by developing and managing the design and development process. To do this the individual must be able to give guidance to a team of writers/designers and be able to effectively collaborate with other internal learning teams, SSC functional groups and third party vendors. This person will be responsible for overseeing the design, production and implementation of learning deliverables.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- 40%Reviewing incoming training projects from merchants and SSC functional groups
- 20%Review and design realistic project plans
- 20%Manage the relationship between vendors, merchants, funcitional groups and 3rd party production crews
- 10%Must be able to influence across a large cross section of management and functional groups to ensure learning deliverables are successfully completed.
- 10%Assess training effectiveness by reviewing level 1 evaluation data and making changes based on feedback
Nature and Scope:- Typically reports to a Sr Manager
- Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.Environmental Job Requirements:
Environment:
1. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
