Position Description:


Position Purpose:

The Manager of Executive Recruiting is responsible for leading global executive talent acquisition initiatives across The Home Depot developing innovative and strategic methods to identify, engage and qualify external executive level (Vice President and Director) candidates. They will lead the approach toward cultivating relationships with external leadership talent of strategic interest, manage confidential executive recruiting search engagements, projects and initiatives while ensuring The Home Depot is building and growing diverse external leadership pipelines which support emerging business opportunities and growth initiatives. The Manager of Executive Recruiting will serve as the enterprise expert on executive search processes, while owning the overall executive candidate experience. They will be responsible for internal client (hiring manager) development and relationship management, external search firm management, and will lead an internal team of Executive Recruiters, Researchers and Specialists.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

  • 20% - Conduct ongoing market and competitive research and analysis to remain keenly aware of trends in the global business climate, economy and workplace, while understanding their impact on leadership hiring. Use this knowledge to recommend and execute innovative executive recruitment strategies in support of The Home Depot’s global sourcing and executive talent initiatives
  • 20% - Evaluate and develop efficient and effective sourcing and recruiting strategies, programs, metrics, and reports by understanding the needs of the business, collaborating with internal executive officer and HR leadership clients, and researching industry best practices
  • 20% - Lead a team of highly skilled executive recruiters to identify external executive level talent, build relationships of interest and develop diverse, world-class talent pools and pipelines for future conversion to highly qualified, function-specific leadership candidates
  • 20% - Monitor ongoing performance of executive recruitment activity, programs and support and communicate key progress and trends including prospect engagement and management within CRM tool and other tools for tracking key measurables. Provide reports on talent competition, market conditions, executive compensation, and industry trends
  • 10% - Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders in order to meet external talent recruitment objectives
  • 10% - Ensure consistency, efficiency and compliance with federal, state and local laws, and company policies. Ensure all talent acquisition activities are compliant with the established sourcing, recruiting, and selection procedures including maintaining appropriate data integrity


    Nature and Scope:

    • This position typically reports to Senior Manager, Executive Recruiting, Sourcing & Talent Insights
    • Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates. Direct reports typically include Executive Recruiters and Executive Talent Specialists.


      Environment:

      • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


        Travel:

        • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time
