Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE - The Manager Assortment Planning will lead a team of Senior Analysts that provide subject matter expertise, project management and analytical support to assortment decisions made by the merchandising organization. The position will also help support the overal THD initiative by developing a category prioritization matrix to select appropriate categories to onboard to the One Supply Chain buildings, building business case/pro-forma models, and designing a framework for continuous assortment performance monitoring and management.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
-80% Work in collaboration with Merchants to determine category review goals and objectives, conduct standard and ad hoc analysis to identify key drivers of performance, recommend assortment decisions that will improve category performance and develop financial plans that reflect category changes.
-10% Support to develop and maintain a calendar of category reviews.
-10% Own MVP/DMM and Merchant/Associate Merchant relationships for designated department.
NATURE AND SCOPE - This position reports to the Senior Manager, Assortment Planning; No direct responsibility for supervising others
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
