POSITION SUMMARY
- To coordinate, market, and be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Breast Imaging Center. Ensures quality patient care with efficient staff utilization. Ensures that the department operates within the guidelines of accrediting bodies.
- Coordinates the training and orientation of new Mammographers and assigned support staff.
- Maintains safety and competency records for the mammography staff and provides additional training if warranted.
- Assists with and participates in the Radiology Department and hospital wide quality efforts.
- Serves as a role model for ethical behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of positive ethical principles consistent with the facility Mission, Vision and Behavioral Standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
  - ARRT registered
  - NDMIRTBE licensed
- Educational Requirements
  - RT(R)(M) Registered in Mammography
- Experience Requirements
  - Two to three years mammography experience
  - Previous marketing experience is helpful
  - Supervisory experience in Mammography is preferred
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
  - Special training and registration in breast imaging
  - Marketing skills are required
  - Ability to supervise staff effectively
  - Very good organizational and communication skills
  - Ability to manage and motivate personnel
  - Good rapport with patients and physicians
  - Job delegation skills are required
  - Must be able to work well in high stress situations
  - Ability to read and interpret documents
  - Ability to speak in public forums as requested by the Director
