Job Description

Teva is searching for a Maintenance Technician I Facilities & Utilities to join our team in Irvine!
As a Maintenance Technician I Facilities & Utilities, you are part of the team for the facilities and the critical utilities at the TEVA Irvine facility.  This includes City Water Pre-Treatment Systems, Reverse Osmosis, HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Clean Steam Systems, and Water for Injection, Compresses Air, Vacuum and Laboratory Gas Systems.

This role is responsible for effective/efficient maintenance of the equipment along with equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of the equipment and systems.  You must continually monitor the operation of the equipment, execute preventative and corrective maintenance and perform documentation of the maintenance within guidelines set forth by Maintenance Management/Group Leader to comply with cGMPs.

You will:

 Follows Teva EHS and Quality policies and procedures. 
 Execute preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, emergency repairs and modifications/upgrades of HVAC systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems related to Facilities and Utilities equipment in support of Manufacturing schedules. 
 Provide troubleshooting and maintenance support on technically sophisticated process machinery including City Water Pre-Treatment Systems, Reverse Osmosis, and Water for Injection. HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Clean Steam Systems, Compresses Air, Vacuum and Laboratory Gas Systems.
 Complete and understand training requirements as identified by the maintenance Manager / Group leader and Teva training department.
 Ensure maintenance systems are in compliance and follow Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
 Ensure cGMP guidelines, safety procedures, and SOP's are followed at all times. 
 Maintain a clean work area adhering to all good housekeeping regulations. 
 Complete logbooks, PM's, and work orders and ensure all entries are complete and correct.
 Support operational readiness and effectiveness and validation of manufacturing systems
 Effectively work with the maintenance organization and maintenance management
 Effectively communicate with groups outside of maintenance, such as production, quality and technical teams
 Support smooth execution of projects within the production and packaging areas and ensure that all systems maintain their validated states
 Performs the function of Critical Systems Operator (CSO) to monitor and document critical system utilities performance in the event the on-duty technician is not available due to vacation, illness, etc.

Qualifications

equirements:

 High school / GED education or equivalent experience required. A.A. or A.S. degree or vocational courses in areas such as welding, mechanics, electrical, control systems, electronics, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC/R or Freeze-drying preferred. Refrigeration license is a strong preference.
 Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment as a mechanic or technician Preferred.
 Experience in repair, installation, maintenance and modifications to HVAC/R equipment, air handling systems, sophisticated refrigeration equipment, pharmaceutical production equipment preferred.
 Knowledge of facility utility systems such as boilers, RO systems, chillers, WFI distribution systems, cooling towers, HVAC systems a plus.
 Pharmaceutical, Food or Nutraceutical industry experience preferred.
 Knowledge of cGMPs, change control processes, FDA-regulated industry documentation practices, electronic database packages (e.g., CMMS/EAM, etc.), inventory systems preferred
 Computer skills including: Windows XP, Excel, Word required
 Effective oral/written communication skills in English with the ability to interface with all levels of personnel.
 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required.
