Job Description

Teva is searching for a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Irvine, CA!

As a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, you are an integral part of the Facilities Maintenance team.  You will interface with a variety of site personnel and contractors to ensure the reliable operation of the facility.

This key position functions as a support role in coordinating a variety of facility-based Maintenance activities at the site.  You will work closely with internal customers, Facilities Maintenance personnel and our qualified external services resources to ensure the facility is maintained at a high level, and that our employees are comfortable, safe and productive and that we are adhering to all applicable Environmental & Safety aspects, work permits, and using quality materials.

You will:

  • Field Work Requests from various site personnel enter them into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and ensure they are reviewed, and either approved and converted to a Work Order or declined thereby notifying the requestor.
  • Assign emergency calls to the appropriate internal or external resources for mitigation.
  • Generate POs to outside services organizations supporting the Irvine site.
  • Interface with critical facility management services such as Janitorial, Pest Control, Landscaping, Security, Cafeteria, Uniforms, etc. ensuring compliance with site procedures and guidelines.
  • Aid in prioritizing, planning, coordinating and scheduling corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance work for the assigned maintenance areas and external service providers. 
  • Work with these outside maintenance vendors, contractors, and suppliers to provide the site with quality services.
  • Generate POs and work requests to our Facilities Maintenance service providers.
  • Become a CMMS super-user for the department, locating historical asset information, closing Work Orders, entering comments, managing the backlog and running queries and reports.
  • Support the generation of preventive maintenance work orders; track timely completion of preventative maintenance schedule and corrective maintenance backlog.
  • Support the planning and scheduling of facility shutdowns and projects to meet organizational objectives.
  • Administer and maintain the CMMS to ensure that all system data is updated, accurate, and compliant following approved procedures.
  • Work with MRO team for timely procurement and acquisition of parts needed for planned maintenance.
  • Enter requisitions in the procurement systems for goods and services as needed.
  • Track, maintain, and publish maintenance performance metrics/statistics.

Qualifications

  • Two years of either CMMS, Maintenance Coordination/Administration or Maintenance Planning & Scheduling experience required.
  • High school / GED education required, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the use of a CMMS (e.g. EAM, SAP, or MAXIMO).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, customer-service attitude required.
  • Thorough, attentive to details, multi-tasker;  with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of either CMMS, Maintenance, Maintenance Coordination or Maintenance Planning & Scheduling experience.
  • Three years of experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment such as Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices.
  • A working knowledge of Infor EAM CMMS.
  • Experienced working within the guidelines of a Quality Management System (e.g. Change Control, Quality Investigations).
  • Experience in participation of deviations, investigations, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) events.
  • Project management experience.
